“How heartbreaking it is to bury your child! Imagine standing next to a steel gurney wanting God to take the breath out of your lungs, to let you faint and all you can do is stand there trying to make your brain register what your eye are seeing. It’s a sight and pain you never get over. You relive it daily and it comes to you when you sleep. As you read this, if you bother to, step into my shoes and experience my “new normal” which one of your kids can you live without.”
“When there is an act of injustice and an apparent cover-up pertaining to someone’s loved one, you can’t act like it didn’t happen”.
The two quotes above are attributed to my guest, Royce Eckley is a strong, wise and spirited woman who knows her son Marcus Anthony Merritt Sr.’s death warrants the truth as to what caused his death, it definitely was not a suicide. The complexity to getting to the bottom of this matter is due to the state of Louisiana not assisting in getting to the truth of Marcus Anthony Sr.’s death and sad to say also included in this stumbling block are people in his personal life who refuse to tell the truth.
“When your son is married, as a parent, you have little or no say-so when it comes to crucial decisions pertaining to his life.”
Royce Eckley learned this reality as she attempted to bring her son’s body home and was denied. This life-wrenching experience took place in Leonville, Louisiana on January the 4th, 2013 and to this date there is no closure.
“Please know that I am more than a “grieving mother” who cannot accept her son’s untimely death.”
His death is hard, but there are real, substantial, factual questions about his death that should be answered.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … TLB
