On this episode of Rebecca Sounds Reveille, the hot topic is how to beat Alzheimer’s (even prevent it) through nutrition. Research has shown what we consume has a direct correlation on our diet and many diseases, to include what is now being dubbed as Type 3 Diabetes – Alzheimer’s.
Over the years and through my own research, I had discovered the positive impact on this devastating disease with the supplementation of B vitamins. My guest, Francie Healey, who is author of , Eat to Beat Alzheimer’s, completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice, has a Master’s degree in Counseling, has clinical experiences in a psychiatric hospital, community mental health center, and a methadone clinic, and currently works with clients in these areas, was one I needed to discuss this with. And wow! You will be surprised at the effects of eating foods loaded with this vitamin!
There is so much more though that Francie is able to share with the audience on the show. Her goal is to help others dodge Alzheimer’s, and it’s difficult not to see how this disease can be combated without the use of pharmaceuticals.
This show really only scratches the surface. To learn more you can grab a copy of Francie’s first book, Eat to Beat Alzheimer’s, a manual for health and cooking. It provides nutritional science and education to help readers become well-informed on the connection between the food they eat and how it affects their brain health now and in future years.
