Often times we feel like it is too difficult to change our current income potential. We feel like we don’t have extra income to try and create a new flow, we waited too long in life, leaving us to rely on social security, or we lost big in an investment, such as 401(k) and now have nothing left to give to ourselves. Dee shared how this is far from the truth and how to create a nest regardless of where we are currently at financially. A couple things to note is: First, your view on you. Second, not living beyond your means.
We touch on topics in his book- Being True To Your Values, Wealth with a purpose and how in one chapter, “getting ready for the meeting,” by being prepared by answering 10 questions to ask yourself.
We also talk about what Dees directives are and one of the directives Count social security but don’t count on it.
Get to know Dee and how his insight can change your financial platform.

After serving as a youth minister for six years, he discovered his calling in the insurance and financial services industry. He worked for a major insurance company for 25 years before founding Carter Financial Group, which brought him a total of over 45 years of experience in insurance and financial services. He is not only President of Carter Financial Group, but also an Investment Adviser Representative with Sound Income Strategies, LLC based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

On a personal side he is a nationally recognized Elvis Tribute Artist.
Dee Carter wrote his new book with three groups in mind who need guidance in financial and retirement planning—two are prospective retirees and financial advisers. Watch the episode to discover the third. His book lays out that there is much more to financial and retirement planning than numbers on a sheet of paper and questions why advisers are still being trained the same way he was back in 1976. He shares how the world has changed so much since then and shows the industry needs to adapt to the change so that you can benefit from it.
“We were taught that a retiree could only draw a small percentage from their principal each year in order to keep that principal from disappearing over time. Now, we know how clients can guard their principal and still receive a nice retirement by investing for income rather than growth.” —Dee Carter

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … TLB
