Today’s guest is a little different for two reasons. One, he happens to be my father, but I promise he is a writer as well. Two, he doesn’t have a link for you to visit yet. He originally wrote Born to Serve back in 2009, but he took it down recently to make some changes to it, and he hasn’t put it back up yet. However, if you are interested in his books, you can email me at email@example.com and I will be sure and let you know when they are back up for sale.
Daniel Hanna is truly inspired by God, as he didn’t study writing in college, but he has been studying the Bible for decades. His books are written for believers and non-believers alike. His goal in the first book is to show Christians their purpose for being here. Daniel uses the stories of unlikely heroes in the Bible to show how God can use every one of us, even if we don’t feel worthy.
His second book takes a look at a famous but daunting study written by a previous author. Daniel’s goal was to take the important pieces and make them more accessible for everyone. His third book is still a work in progress, but he’s excited to finish it.
Though we didn’t talk about it on the interview, my dad grew up with a rough childhood. His parents were both alcoholics and he was born into a large family. When he was young, he decided to run away to try and rob a candy store. Eventually, he was adopted into a Christian family, and he didn’t see anyone from his birth family for another three decades.
God has truly played a part in his life, and his hope is that people will know God the way he does.
