In The Crosshairs – Special Report – Child Welfare Reform (Part 2) – With Guest – Gary Woodruffe – Creator & Publisher of AVNetnews
Retired Dad, in a 19-year court battle to spend time with his biological son, loses his house in a third party foreclosure that permits the Florida Department of Revenue to excise social security payments for alleged child support arrears…
“It doesn’t matter if the child support order is valid or legitimate, as long as there is some semblance of a child support order, the state collects on it,” said Gary Woodruffe, a California native who relocated to Florida almost 20 years ago to be closer to his son. Although Florida had no jurisdiction to impose child support payments in the first place, he said financial incentive, not equitable distribution, has been the driving force.
“The mother of my child took the child from California to Florida as a vacation and never came back,” he said. “I established California as the home state when I filed a Summons and Complaint against her — that was never adjudicated.” Since Federal law provides incentive payments to states that collect child support, he said the state of Florida has been working very diligently to unfairly take everything away from him, including his house.
Woodruffe, who has had little to no contact with his now 20-year-old son, said federal and state law says that when child support payments are court ordered, a parental, visitation scheduling order and financial disclosures must be secured and updated with the court. That did not happen in his case, he said.
“It is your taxpayer dollars that they are ripping us off for, and it doesn’t stop there,” he continued. “It is our children they are taking as well, and our dignity, our honor and our life savings, and they don’t have a leg to stand on.”
This is a call to action, said the publisher and creator of AVNetnews. “Grassroots, worker bees, legal eagles, or government workers, let’s do things right, let’s get back on track.”

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … TLB
