TLBTV is Excited to Welcome a New Show to Our Family … Coming Soon:
Bitter Men on Sports!
The Liberty Beacon Project (TLB) welcomes the Pittsburgh CZN Crew to TLBTV network.
Hosts – David Finoli – Chris Fletcher & Gary Kinn, are a dynamic trio who take a look at not only magnificent achievements, but controversy that has surrounded their favorite goose-bump sports moments.
The boys also look at top events of the week and a whole lot more. The title alone draws one in as you wonder what these three are gonna bring up. It’s a bet that if you are into sports there is surely something they are gonna strike up to catch your interest.
Your Hosts Bios:
David Finoli grew up in Greensburg, Pennsylvania before moving to a suburb of Pittsburgh in Monroeville, PA where he now resides. He is a passionate fan of western Pennsylvania sports, which has been the subject of most of the books he has produced.
Throughout all the championships he has enjoyed, his life is highlighted by three disturbing things; his father made he and his brother Jamie leave Immaculate Reception game in 1972 after Ken Stabler scored to put the Raiders up so they were standing on Gate C of Three Rivers Stadium when the greatest play in NFL occurred, he decided to attend Duquesne University in 1979 because of their great basketball history at that point, the school hasn’t been to the NCAA tournament since 1977, and he became a devout Pirate fan because he grew up in the ultra-successful 1970s, they’ve had four winning seasons in the past 27 years. It’s amazing he’s not more bitter than he is.
Despite those disturbing events Finoli was named the 2018 Pittsburgh Magazine’s Best of the ‘Burgh local author of the Year and has penned 29 books that have highlighted the stories of the great franchises in this area such as the Pirates, Penguins, Steelers, Duquesne basketball and Pitt football to name a few. His latest book Pittsburgh’s Greatest Teams not only ranks the top 50 teams in western Pennsylvania history but also includes a project he has researched for the past 25 years; the list of every champion in the area at the college level and above.
Gary Kinn is graduate of the Duquesne University Journalism Program, which he completed concurrently with David Finoli and Chris Fletcher. He has worked in Commercial Banking and Real Estate Finance in the Philadelphia area since 1983. He has religiously followed professional baseball, hockey and boxing since 1970, and is an avid historian of all three sports. He has also attended over 100 live championship boxing cards in the United States, including New York City, Atlantic City and Las Vegas. He lives in New Jersey, and still believes that stolen bases are still as exciting and important as homeruns and strikeouts, ties in hockey are an acceptable outcome, and that there is only world champion in boxing’s eight weight class divisions.
Chris Fletcher is a Forest Hills, PA-based writer, marketer, fundraiser and all-around swell guy. The former publisher and editor of Pittsburgh magazine, Fletcher also teamed up with David Finoli to author sports books: Steel City Gridirons, The Steel City 500 and Unlucky 21. Despite celebrating six Steelers championships, two Pirates World Series victories, five Penguins Stanley Cups, eleven Lakers crowns and a Pitt national championship, Chris still has recurring nightmares of hanging palm balls, pucks hitting posts in overtime and coming up 3 yards short. He thinks he can hit better than Doug Froebel but has retired from actually playing all competitive sports because of a rumored turf-toe injury.
