The Truth Will Set You Free – A Country At War Against Itself Shall Fail – With Special Guest – Author, Jeff Rasley
WATCH THIS GREAT SHOW BELOW INTRODUCTION
“Instead of using Facebook to bash political opponents, it can be a forum for hashing out disagreements and possibly finding some common ground on important issues.” – Jeff Rasley
Hosted by: Linda Wattley
My guest, Jeff Rasley has a great concern about America, the anger of the people in this country has created an atmosphere of civil war. He could not ignore the continued increase of political polarization that is provoking violence against and by politicians. We have a new syndrome, “post-election stress disorder”, which is fueled by media and social media.
Jeff decided to use social media to create a positive and more realistic platform for people to discuss their political issues without extreme negativity and hatred for sure we do not have to imitate President Trump by tweeting insults and ridicule at political opponents and people who are different than we are.
In his most recent book, “Polarized! The Case for Civility in the Time of Trump” exposes the causes and effects of hyper-partisanship. It offers a “modest proposal” to treat the symptoms of toxic polarization at the grassroots level. In an experiment that Jeff conducted on Facebook based on the values of civility, tolerance, pragmatism, and moderation it was proven we can cure what ails us.”
Jeff Rasley has authored ten books and counting. He is a humanitarian who is always determined to assist others in getting to a better state of conscious. He is president of the Basa Village Foundation, which funds culturally sensitive development in Nepal. He is the director of five nonprofits. Jeff is also U.S. liaison for the Himalayan expedition company Adventure GeoTreks Ltd, and teaches philosophy of philanthropy at Butler University.
