The American Vision – Social Media Censorship – The Death of Free Speech

By TLB Contributing Author & TLBTV Show Host: Bill Muckler

Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press do not exist on the internet on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, et al. You most likely have friends, or relatives, who speak, or write, of being put in “Facebook Jail” or having their social media sites blocked, but do you know how this happens, or why it happens?

These supposedly friendly sites for grandmas to dawdle over photos of their precious grandkids have become mega-monsters for everything from porn to activists’ politics as they rake in mega-advertising dollars. So, what’s new? A selected segment of the posting population is censored. Include me on that list. I have been in Facebook Jail, suspended from posting and made to jump through algorithmic hoops more times than I can count. So, why this article and show?

I could do an entire show on Twitter and the others, but my visual aides are all from Facebook. We’ll just address their censorship in this article and show.

The articles and videos I attempt to post on social media are considered “spam.” You will see documented examples in the video. I have photographed messages alerting me that my posts are spam and will not be accepted. An example is an article I wrote “Six Seconds to Live” about 2 Marine heroes; or my unique Christmas message video; or my interview with Steve Snyder about his father who was a WWII hero.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, the Marine Corps, Christmas and B-17 pilots who were shot down over Germany are now “spam” and are violators of accepted speech in America. That’s censorship in my book.

Facebook sends me alerts to wish my friends a Happy Birthday. I type “Birthdays of My Friends” in the top bar and voila, my friends who have birthdays that day are listed. I Have 4,999 friends which calculates to be about 13-14 birthdays each day. However, when I get to about number 5 or 6 on the list, I am directed to a box that informs me “I am not using the site as intended.” To continue I must decipher grotesque letters and numerals cleverly disguised underneath random squiggly lines in a small box. When successful, I can then proceed to the next name on the list. I am also given an option to explain why I am not using the site the way it was intended. I do. I have never have received a reply.

Understand: The people who control the social media are not our friends. They do not operate in our best interests. They have their own agenda.

Follow me on this episode as I explore new avenues of communication and enlightenment.
