TLBTV: The American Vision – Medicare, an American Boondoggle
WATCH THIS GREAT SHOW BELOW INTRO ARTICLE

Medicare, the Great American Bureaucratic Boondoggle was born in the womb of the Great American Ponzi Scheme called Social Security in 1965. When Social Security goes bankrupt in the next decade it will drag Medicare down with it.
When Medicare was instituted, it was estimated that the cost of Medicare Part A would be $9 billion by 1990. It turned out to be more than seven times higher at $67 billion. Medicaid’s special hospital subsidy was projected to annually cost $100 million in 1987. It cost more than $11 billion in 1992. Medicare’s home care benefit was established in 1988 with a projected cost of $4 billion in 1993. The actual cost was $10 billion. The projected costs of government programs are always grossly underestimated. They are always wrong.
Medicare is not affordable in its current form. It is expensive to seniors and burdensome to taxpayers. Its costs outstrip its own resources by a wide margin. This places enormous pressures on the federal budget and the entire economy. Medicare’s liability on the American taxpayer has risen steadily in relation to the percent of GDP. It will eventually top 20 percent in the next decade. Medicare overloads the general fund of the Treasury by more than $200 billion annually.
Those of us on Social Security and Medicare witness this fraud and waste firsthand. We experience this when we go to the doctor’s offices and clinics. We see the huge amount the government subtracts from our Social Security benefits check and then we see the manipulation of deductions and payments in our medical billing statements.
This scam must be privatized before it goes broke and devastates senior citizens who will be irreparably harmed. Government insurance programs are not the answer. They have failed everywhere they have been instituted. Be smart. Prepare for your own health care in the future.
