On this episode Rebecca and Rodney talk about Rodney’s venture as an American actor and author. He is also a director and motivational speaker. Rodney is graduate of Bowling Green State University and has pursued his passion for the arts through modeling for American Greetings, local print ads, several independent films and theater projects in Cleveland, Ohio.

Movie Star Inspires Hope for Hurting

Rodney made his television debut in November 2014 as a contestant on the nationally televised game show, Let’s Ask America and was recently added to the cast of the Amazon Prime Television Show Chosen Kin Origins: New Breed. Rodney plays the role of “Dr. Watson.” ImDb describes the show storyline as “A trio of humans with undeveloped super powers that are chosen to protect the earth against powerful foes bent on annihilating the human race. First, however, they must set aside their differences and learn to use the powers that lay dormant within them.” (Written by Chosen Kin Origins Team). However, on this episode of Rebecca Sounds Reveille, you get to hear the passion Rodney describes about the show and his role.

You may also be familiar with Rodney as he can be seen in the film The Job Interview, along with others to include, playing a police officer in the documentary, Deadly Sins. He has also participated in several stage productions, one of which is the hit play, Soul Mate at Cleveland’s famous Playhouse Theater. Rodney is using his platform to impact and entertain the lives of others with compelling stories!

Past work that you may find just as intriguing about this amazing entertainer is his experience in marketing, project management, strategic planning, having been involved in the oversight and implementation of over 800 in youth development, and having served as a Pastor.

Rodney’s dedication throughout his life to impact those around him beams not only from his current and past work, but also his volunteerism. He has served the City of Cleveland Men’s Shelter, Los Angeles Skid Row, and has been on a couple of service trips, one to Monrovia, Liberia and another to Accra, Ghana.

This episode really allows you to connect with Rodney in a way that maybe not too many have heard and really should. The details he shares on the show affect so many people not only in America, but around the world who are struggling and need hope. Not only does he provide the inspiration on the show, but offers to share some of his personal story. The story, his story, led him to write and publish, Shattered: A Journey Through the Pieces, available now on Kindle and soon to be released March 15, 2019 in print.
