Founder of Trucker Guns told In the Crosshairs that trucking industry policies must change to protect its drivers – instead of leaving them all vulnerable. Contrary to widespread belief, there is not a federal law that prohibits truckers from carrying a lawfully owned firearm on the truck for self-defense, said Erik J. Royce, who is a former trucking industry professional.
Trucker Guns provides education and awareness to interstate truckers and trucking management regarding the right to keep and bear arms in America. Carrying a firearm in your vehicle legally is dependent on what state you are in and what the laws are in that state, said Royce.
“Trucking industry carriers need to recognize this and reverse their policies to allow their employee drivers to protect themselves while on the job, when sending them into dangerous places.”
While the trucking industry has been inclined to keep its current polices, he said a push to reverse those polices can have a meaningful effect on protecting our God-given right to self-defense.
“The media spins the facts to suit a political agenda…”
… said Royce, who is a real estate investor. He also states …
“There are countless incidences where people have used their firearms in self-defense, and the mainstream media will do everything they can to prevent those stories from getting out there.”

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … TLB
