Founder and chief executive of Gun For Hire, New Jersey’s urban defense institute since 1992, discusses gun politics, civil rights, and “behind the iron curtain” anti-gun bills.
“I built my business on servicing females, families and minorities first, gun owners second, and it has turned out to be highly successful,” said Anthony Colandro, Executive VP of Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs, the official NRA state association. ANJRPC supports and defends the constitutional rights of the people to keep and bear arms.
Colandro, who is host of Gun For Hire Radio, said our politicians have failed us. “Once they get into office, they feel they have a moral high ground, they feel they can do whatever they want.” They turn their backs on their pro Second Amendment constituents by voting against us, he said.
Gun For Hire trains hundreds of people each day not just in firearm training, but he said in Second Amendment education as well. “To own a gun is a civil right.” Not everyone is aware of this, but the NRA have been on the front lines defending our civil rights for close to 150 years, he continued.
“The NRA is the oldest civil rights organization in the country,” said Colandro, who is an NRA Master Training Counselor. “The NRA started 147 years ago on the island of Manhattan by civil war generals to provide the northern Yankees with needed training.”

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … TLB
