Firearm defense expert told In the Crosshairs that, when restrictive gun control laws are removed, private industry advances firearm training more effectively than the government.
“The firearm industry does a pretty good job in determining standards in training without government involvement”
…said Rob Pincus owner and operator of I.C.E. Firearm Training Services. ICE is a full service company offering training and consulting to armed professionals and those interested in self-defense.
“I’m a huge proponent of constitutional carry”
…said Pincus, who is Exec. Director of Personal Defense Network.
“If you can legally own a gun, you can legally carry.”
In states where constitutional carry is legal, he said gun owners are more likely to seek and follow-up with continued firearm education. Constitutional carry, also called permitless carry, refers to the legal carrying of a handgun, either openly or concealed, without a license or permit.
In states where gun owners must obtain a license or permit to carry, Pincus said minimal mandatory testing has little or no effect on safety. Gun owners were more motivated to shop for training in the private sector, once restrictions were removed, he added. As a kid, guns were his hobby, interest, and passion, he said. Today, Pincus puts those efforts into being an educator.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … TLB
